Warm Up
USING CROSS PRODUCTS - ARE THEY PROPORTIONAL?
Consider the following proportion. 3 = 50
6 100
Nyliene and Ariauna stated these ratios ARE proportional, but Parker and Terrance disagree.
Parker and Terrance stated they used the “Cross Products” strategy. They multiplied 3 x 50 to get 150. Then they multiplied 6 x 100 to get 600. Since 150 does not equal 600, Parker and Terrance believe they are NOT proportional.
Nyliene and Ariauna believe that Parker and Terrance are using the strategy incorrectly. When they used the “Cross Products” strategy they got “300”.
How did they get 300? Who do you think is correct?
EXPLAIN YOUR OPINION IN YOUR MATH NOTEBOOK IN AT LEAST 3 SENTENCES. Keep your Warm Up in your math notebook.

ONLINE VIDEOS WITH CORNELL NOTES & SUMMARY
STEP 1) OPEN the following document and then select “Make a Copy”.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/14bQE_or3H-WToWjETdTNf2wceuYmB-xmLnAzW0NfAc0/edit
STEP 2) SHARE the newly created document with me.
STEP 3) CHANGE THE TITLE of the copied document you just created.
Remove the words “STUDENT FIRST NAME LAST NAME & BLOCK #” and enter YOUR NAME and BLOCK #. Be sure to keep the rest (meaning DO NOT ERASE the “Cornell Notes - VARIOUS SOURCES - Proportions Using Tables” part)
For example, Zion’s newly created document would be titled, “ZION LEWIS BLOCK #2 - CORNELL NOTES - VARIOUS SOURCES - Proportions Using Tables”
STEP 4) Watch the following videos and complete 1 PAGE of CORNELL NOTES w/ a SUMMARY using the copied document you just created. All 3 videos should be included on the 1 FULL PAGE of CORNELL NOTES w/ a SUMMARY.
