Consider the following proportion. 3 = 50 6 100 Nyliene and Ariauna stated these ratios ARE proportional, but Parker and Terrance disagree. Parker and Terrance stated they used the “Cross Products” strategy. They multiplied 3 x 50 to get 150. Then they multiplied 6 x 100 to get 600. Since 150 does not equal 600, Parker and Terrance believe they are NOT proportional. Nyliene and Ariauna believe that Parker and Terrance are using the strategy incorrectly. When they used the “Cross Products” strategy they got “300”. How did they get 300? Who do you think is correct? EXPLAIN YOUR OPINION IN YOUR MATH NOTEBOOK IN AT LEAST 3 SENTENCES. Keep your Warm Up in your math notebook.
